The wait is over and after another week of listening to more adverts on the daily shows, 5fm made their next big announcement on the 8th of March 2012 and it is not about Gareth Cliff getting arrested for speeding, this is the real big announcement!
Gareth Cliff announced on his Morning show on the 8th of March 2012, that 5fm will be making more changes to it’s line-up and this will be to replace the Grant and Anele Show, which is going to cease to exist at the end of March 2012 and replacing them the 12pm-3pm show will be Rob Vember! Joining Rob Vember will be Kim Schulze who will be reading the news, and will also help continuing to helm 5FM’s CSI initiative, Youngblood5.
From my side, I am really looking forward to this new line-up because (sorry Grant and Anele) but I was never a big fan.
Congratulations Rob Vember and Kim Schulze!!

There were more 5fm Big Announcements made on the Gareth Cliff show on the 8th of March 2012 and that was further changes to the Saturday and Sunday line-up:
Saturdays 10pm-1am
Fikile Moeti aka “Fix” will be back after a break in the U.S. to further her studies. Fix will be bringing her awesome music knowledge and skills on the decks to The Saturday Nite Fix (Saturdays, 10pm-1am). Fix will keep the party going into the early hours of Sunday with the hottest club sounds from all corners of the globe.
Sundays 10am-2pm
Listeners will get to ‘own’ the playlist on Sundays with “Beats By Demand” with Bongi Mbelu. If you’re one of those MixTape Junkies and sit at your tapedeck with your finger on the record button, be sure to tune in on Sundays from 10am-2pm. You get to call in to a dedicated Beats By Demand line and leave your requests and dedications which will get played during Beats by Demand show. Bongi will also be doing live music requests. Another highlight is the last hour of the show, called New 1’s@1, where Bongi plays ‘breaking music’ – the first time you’ll get to hear all the brand new tracks that have been added to the playlist that week.
